Please see the below joint message from Fort McMurray Catholic Schools, Fort McMurray Public School Division, and Conseil scolaire Centre-Nord. We will continue to provide factual updates in as timely a manner as possible. You are all in our prayers. 

(Fort McMurray, AB, May 16, 2024) As always, the safety of our students, families, and staff remains our top priority. We want to provide you with an important update regarding the status of our schools in Fort McMurray.

Beginning Tuesday, May 21st, 2024, business will return as usual for all Fort McMurray schools not affected by the Wildfire Evacuation Orders. This includes the vast majority of our schools and facilities.

However, please note that the following schools will remain closed until further notice:

• Father Beauregard School (FMCSD)
• Beacon Hill Public School (FMPSD)
• Good Shepherd Elementary School (FMCSD)
• École Boréale (CSCN)

We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we prioritize everyone's safety. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and keep you informed with timely updates.
