Tomorrow we welcome the entire Fort McMurray Catholic Schools family back to school! While we are very excited for this sense of normalcy, we also acknowledge it may bring up some feelings for many. We walk through this together. 💙

We come together today, thanking you for your protection and care. We are blessed to be preparing to return to our schools, reunited as a community after a challenging week. Coming together in the wake of the Feast of Pentecost, we are reminded of the renewing power and unity brought by your Holy Spirit.

We are thankful for the rain which has helped to control the fire and reduce its threat. We are especially grateful for the firefighters, first responders, coordinators, volunteers, and all who worked tirelessly to keep us safe. We pray for their continued strength in the weeks ahead; may your watchful eye be upon them.

Help us to support one another as we return to our homes and to our schools. Fill us with the peace, resilience, and unity that your Spirit brought to the disciples at Pentecost.
