Dear Families, Staff, and Students of Fort McMurray Catholic Schools,

As we reach the end of the school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the faith theme we have shared over the last three years: Do Small Things With Great Love. With Christ as our model, and children as our focus, this year has been filled with countless moments of growth, learning, adaptability, joy, and doing small things with great love. 

Our students have demonstrated resilience and determination, embracing the challenges and opportunities that came their way. They have excelled in many areas, from personal milestones, academic successes and artistic achievements to athletic victories and community service, showcasing their diverse talents and strengths. From the youngest learners in our elementary schools to the graduates ready to embark on their next chapter, each of you has shown what it means to be part of a vibrant, faith-filled community.

To our dedicated staff, your commitment to nurturing and guiding our students has been inspiring. Your passion, expertise and devotion to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment has impacted every child’s life. Thank you for your tireless efforts, your patience, and your kindness.

To our parents and guardians, your partnership and support have been invaluable. You play a crucial role in your children's education, and your involvement strengthens the bonds of our school community. Thank you for entrusting us with your children’s education and for being active participants in their faith-filled learning journey.

As we look back on the year, we acknowledge the challenges and struggles for many of our students, families, staff, and community. We also celebrate the accomplishments and milestones we have achieved together, and we are grateful that our students and staff are able to celebrate the end of the school year together.

As we begin the summer break, I encourage you to rest, recharge, and cherish moments with your loved ones. May this time be filled with joy, relaxation, and new experiences to prepare us for the upcoming school year's opportunities, and may we continue to do small things with great love.
